It is truly a great time in the city where we call the source of all mankind. Ile-Ife is fast becoming a tourist destination with heritage and cultural events that have the potentials to be listed on UNICEF global heritage events.
Queen Moremi Ajasoro was the great warrior queen that liberated Ile-Ife kingdom from slavery and the kingdom believes it is high time a heritage event was created around this great daughter of the source.
Speaking at the flag off at the Palace of the Ooni of Ife recently, the CEO of Bonah Incorporated, who is also the Project Director; Dr. Kunle Balogun said
“Queen Moremi deserves to be celebrated. We cannot readily appreciate what this great woman did for our kingdom until everybody goes into the history books. We have gone into the books, and we discovered a lot of falacies are out there. We are about to rewrite history. This is not just a beauty pageant, this is about the search for a beffiting Queen from Yoruba land that will showcase our rich attires, skills and hairstyles. Our Queen must be a full expression of beauty, confidence and eloquence. She would be given a car, inclusive of one year salary, and she would oversee a N5,000,000 grant for the empowerment of other women. Details about the forms and timelines would be released in a few days. A lot is going to be done around the Moremi brand, so the world should look out”, he concluded.
Also at the flag off was Ayo George; the CEO of In-House Entertainment LTD who also doubles as the Assistant Project Director. In-House Entertainment is the marketing company for the event. He said ” it is a privilege always to have something to do with the most prestigious King in the world, Ooni of the Universe. Corporate Brands have been discussing with us on all sides because the potentials of this event is just inexhaustive. The world is about to see a big deal coming out of Ile-Ife once again”.
Unveiling the Queen, Moremi Ajasoro is endorsed by the House of Oduduwa. Do you have what it takes? The search has begun.
