The dramatic footage, released by the US defence department, was filmed by jets over Manbij in northern Syria.
The first view shows a collection of houses dotted around the barren desert landscape.
But a few seconds later, the silence is shattered when missiles are fired at jihadi positions including a moving vehicle.
Huge explosions are seen as clouds of dust fill the air.
But
there are growing calls for the US-led coalition to reduce the number
of airstrikes on targets in northern Syria after dozens of civilians
were killed when jets mistook eight families for a group of ISIS
fighters.
UK-based Syrian
Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) said at least 56 civilians were
killed in air strikes north of Manbij on Tuesday, a day after it said 21
civilians were killed in a northern district of the besieged ISIS-held
city.
US defence secretary Ash Carter said on
Wednesday the US-led force would look into the reports of civilian
casualties around Manbij.
Syria's foreign
ministry has said Tuesday's attack, which hit the village of Toukhan
north of Manbij, was carried out by French forces.
