NFF Secure Company To Pay New Eagles Coach
President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Amaju Pinnick, has revealed that they have reached agreement with a company, to pay the new Super Eagles coach.
Paul Le Guen has been named the new Technical Adviser of the Super Eagles, by the Technical and Development Committee of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) on Monday.
The 52-year-old Frenchman will be assisted by Salisu Yusuf, who has been appointed as Chief Coach.
Both coaches and four other national team coaches, will have their salaries and other entitlements covered by this sponsor.
“The first thing we did after we were ousted from the Nations Cup was to ensure we got a partner who will pay for five national team coaches,” Pinnick disclosed.
“We sent a request to the company and the request was granted.
“But the company feels strongly that we keep everything private and at the appropriate time they will tell the world what they are doing for Nigerian football.
“We want to avoid past mistakes and don’t want a situation for whether we are owing or paying the salaries of the coaches.
“We want to bring the best coach to qualify us for the World Cup.
“We are very, very desirous of qualifying for the World Cup. We have done everything to qualify for the World Cup.”
