Three Trapped Tigers bring the noise at Latitude 2016
Latitude may have its fair share of quiet woodland corners, but within seconds of Three Trapped Tigers taking to DIY’s stage they blast away the tranquillity. ‘Cramm’’s bluster opens proceedings, an avalanche of melodies and all-out noise marking the three-piece’s arrival.
Words are kept to a minimum, every second instead devoted to their chaotic noise. There’s devotion in every millimetre of the tent too, a packed-in throng wooping and hollering with every track let loose. New album ‘Silent Earthling’ receives every bit as fevered a reaction as their beloved debut, the pulse of the still-brilliantly-titled ‘Tekkers’ switching heads from thrashing to bouncing.
The decidedly tranquil surroundings of Latitude might not be known for its noise or math rock, but Three Trapped Tigers stake their claim to this intimate corner of the site with ease
