What’s on tap for WWE’s first live SmackDown of 2016?
Yes, this is an actual preview for a live SmackDown!Spoilers are now a thing of the past as we venture into new territory for a show that has always been considered WWE’s “B show.” For years, they have rarely used SmackDown as a means to continue its stories, and because of that (and being taped) it’s become a show that has grown stale over the past decade or so. No need to cover what happened last week, because you can just forget everything you remembered about this show. It’s now on a new night, with a new roster, and it’s live! (Have I mentioned that yet?)
Last night on Raw, Shane and Stephanie McMahon finally revealed who will be running each of their shows. For Raw, it will be the hardcore legend, Mick Foley and for SmackDown we get to see the return of Daniel Bryan. A second bombshell was dropped yesterday when news broke that Raw will be getting an exclusive Cruiserweight division added to their brand. Will SmackDown reveal something exclusive to their show tonight? At any rate, let’s dive into the biggest stories that will carry this historic show, starting with the WWE Draft, which will officially kickoff the brand split.
