Antonio Conte’s side head into Saturday’s match with their unbeaten record still intact after overcoming both West Ham and Watford in dramatic circumstances.
Having booked their place in the third round of the EFL Cup too, Chelsea are cruising at the moment with the prospect of what should be three easy points on offer as they welcome Burnley to Stamford Bridge.
Nonetheless, the Clarets should not be underestimated – especially following their astounding 2-0 victory against Liverpool last weekend.
But Sean Dyche’s side failed to build on this though, crashing out of the EFL Cup to Accrington Stanley on Wednesday night. Against an in-form Chelsea side, the league newcomers have quite the task on their hands this weekend.
It’s a big game for…
Michy Batshuayi. Although he’s not expected to start this weekend, the Belgian forward is certainly giving Diego Costa a run for his money at the moment. The 22-year-old has made a lightning start to his Blues career, scoring three goals and assisting one other in his first three competitive appearances. Should he have a similar impact coming off the bench this Saturday, there’s no doubt fans will be demanding he starts soon.
